The best time to visit Bhutan depends on your purpose for going. Generally, spring (March and April) and autumn (October and November) offer the best weather for travel.
October is the most popular month due to its comfortable temperatures, clear skies, and vibrant festivals. However, you may encounter larger crowds at popular sites. Despite this, Bhutan's crowds are still less overwhelming than those in neighboring Nepal or India.
If you enjoy beautiful rhododendron blooms, visit from mid-March to May. Spring brings stunning pink and white flowers along with warm weather. April is also popular for the Paro Tsechu festival, usually held in late March or early April. Early spring is perfect for lower-altitude hikes, while higher elevations are better for late April and May.
There are discounts on hotels in winter (December to February) and during the monsoon season (June to August), but overall, tour prices don’t vary much by season.
