Malaysia - Getting to know the Pangkor Islands
rnPangkor Island and Pangkor Laut are two of the jewels in the crown of Malaysia’s west coast. They offer a truly unforgettable holiday experience to guests desiring fun in the sun, and also a taste of the finer things in life. A mere 3.5 hours by car and boat, or 35 minutes by air from Kuala Lumpur, the islands are certainly amongst the more accessible for clients staying in the capital.
rnPangkor Island is only 8km square, but offers a tropical forest setting complimented with white sandy beaches, pristine waters and a good range of accommodation. Pangkor Laut is a privately owned island a further 40 minutes by boat from Pangkor Island. There is only one resort on the small island, and it is one of the most luxurious in all Malaysia. Pangkor Laut is also famed for Emerald Bay, considered to be the most idyllic beach in Asia.
