The trip to Kitulgala from Kandy, where you may go white-water rafting on the Kelaniya Ganga, takes around two hours. Relatively mild white-water rafting is available on the beautiful Kelaniya Ganga.

The actual rafting expedition lasts approximately one to one and a half hours. You should brace yourself for some thrilling Class 2/3 rapids, particularly toward the start of your journey. The river becomes much milder as you go downstream, making it an ideal spot to kick back, relax, and take in the breathtaking scenery.

Float by the location where David Lean shot the 1957 Oscar-winning Bridge on the River Kwai as you near the tour's finale. Film fans would know the location, and some artifacts are visible now.
