You'll be picked up from your accommodation and driven to the farm. You'll have tea with the farmers when you get there, and then you'll put on a conical hat and overalls in preparation for working in a paddy field. Your guide will explain the wet rice cultivation process in-depth and answer any questions you may have. The farmer will next show you how to plow the field using a water buffalo, after which you will be shown how to plant rice seedlings and nurture them until they are ready for harvest.
You will get to rake the field, harvest the rice with a sickle, and process the rice into rice milk by sorting, grinding, and blending it. To cap off a very fun half-day, you'll create rice pancakes at the farmer's home using rice milk as the main component. Take a brief ride on a water buffalo and get up close and personal with these docile creatures before lunching with a local family and returning to your accommodation.
