My Son Ruins

You'll need to leave your accommodation at dawn and travel for two hours down a bumpy road to get to a location near the My Son ruins. The Cham site of My Son is the most significant in Vietnam.

Before the Vietnamese wiped out the Cham culture, it ruled over what is now southern Vietnam for millennia. My Son was formerly the political, cultural, and religious epicenter of the Cham Empire.

They are in a beautiful valley between hills, with Cat's Tooth Mountain as a backdrop. Streams flow between the buildings and through the neighboring coffee farms.

You then go back to Hoi An in time for lunch.
