Pinhatt Mountain Trek

To begin this quick day journey, you'll head south from Dalat City. Gorgeous routes will transport guests to the Pinhatt Mountain Trailhead.

The hike begins peacefully enough, passing by minority farms and pine

on the way to the base of Pinhatt. Take a break to replenish your energy before the 45-minute ascent to Pinhatt's peak. The summit rewards those who make the climb.

Your local guide will pack fresh veggies, fruits, and baguettes with various spreads for you to enjoy on the go. Lunch provides a great opportunity to sample some of the delicious products from the region known as Vietnam's 'vegetable garden,' Dalat.

When we leave the mountaintop after lunch and rest, the vegetation and wildlife vastly differ from what we saw up top. As you descend into the valley, the pine forest gives way to the tropical rainforest for which Vietnam is known. You'll walk through a brief but thrilling section of the jungle; protect your feet by donning a pair of long socks.

When you get to the opposite side, you can rest at a campsite or go for a swim until your boat arrives. The Truc Lam Meditation Pagoda and Gardens are on the other side of the lake, and the boat will take its passengers there.

If you'd rather, your driver will wait at a pickup spot a short distance from the hotel to transport you back to your accommodations in Dalat.
